so come on, get higher, loosen my lips FAITH AND DESIRE AND THE SWING OF YOUR HIPS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - TAG: ANNIE . LOCATION: SHOPPING MALL OUTFIT: HERE . WORD COUNT: SIX SIXTY-FIVE - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Tristan and Annie had met at the cafe awhile ago when she dropped something and Tristan had happened to actually be a gentleman for once and picked it up for her. Since then they had hung out a few times, nothing big but in those few times that they did hang out Tristan learned a lot about Annie just from observing her. A lot of people may have found it odd how Tristan observed people around him but with the lifestyle he had he always needed to know what was going on around him at all times. He never knew when a cop could be nearby or someone whom he had hurt wanting revenge in some way, shape or form. Anyway, back to Annie. From what Tristan observed she was extremely shy, polite and well, bland. Completely boring. There seemed to be nothing fun about her. She was all hung up on her best friend having cancer but Tristan could tell that there was more to that story than she was letting on. He may not have been the smartest guy around but he wasn't stupid enough to not realize how her eyes lit up whenever she talked about him or how she would go off into little sessions of just talking about him straight.
As far as her friend Isaac was concerned Tristan could tell that Annie cared for him a lot more than just a simple friend. It was for that reason that he was actually going to be a decent guy and try to help her out. If there was one thing that he knew better than being an amazing bartender it was how to catch a guy's attention, how to make a girl stand out from the crowd of other girls who may be stalking the man you wanted. It was for this reason that Tristan had told Annie to meet him at the shopping mall. He was going to help her buy a few things that would have Isaac drooling, begging for her to date him. What he thought was that it was a brilliant plan and it would work. Now all he had to do was wait for Annie to show up. He had texted her and told her to meet him in front of the fountain that was in the center of the mall. While she may have been an intelligent girl who attended Yale he was going to give her a lesson today and educate her. He just hoped that she would actually go along with it. He didn't see why not, what girl didn't like shopping and what girl wouldn't want to know how to win over the love of their life?
Tristan already had the plans of the day perfectly formulated in his mind and he was ready to begin it. Even though he hated shopping he was going to push that aside to help a friend. Well, at least that's what he thought she was, he wasn't too sure though. That seemed to be quite an often occurrence for him, hanging out with people and shit but never really knowing if they were his friends or not. Eh, oh well, he didn't really give a damn because the only friend he really needed was Addie anyway. The girl had been his friend for years and apart from his mother and brother she was the only one he would do anything for. They were the only ones he wasn't completely selfish around. Just the thought of Addie made him smile a tad bit as he sat on a nearby bench, his arms crossed over his chest and his gaze focused on the water that was falling from the fountain. He really needed to figure out what was going on in his life with the drug situation and with Addie. Today wasn't going to be the day to think about these things though. Today he was going to annoy Annie to no end, yep, that sounded like fun.

why she had agreed to meet him, she would never know. Annie wasn't in the mood to hang out with anyone. She was losing the only person who had ever meant something to her. Isaac was focussing more on Indiana Shaw, the freshman who consistently dressed like a tramp. Was that the kind of girl that Isaac wanted? Annie was conservative, which was probably why he had never batted an eye at her before. It hurt knowing that because she was desperately in love with him. She had been for so long and to see him preferring someone else was painful. Right now, she wanted to curl up in her dorm room and watch movies and eat her way out of a pile of chocolate. She never thought that watching him prefer someone else would hurt so much. Sure, he'd had another girlfriend, but her feelings weren't as intense as they were now. She and Isaac had been through so much since they. She had helped him with his cancer, she had been there every step of the way. She had listened to him speak about his hidden fears and she had held his hand through it all. Not once had she complained about the sacrifices she made for him. Not once did she listen to him trying to get her to leave him alone for a little while. She did what she needed to do with delay and was there to be the supportive best friend. This is where it had gotten her.
the reason she had come had a lot to do with the fact that Isaac could randomly burst into her dorm room and then force her into telling him what was wrong. That was not a conversation she wanted to have with him. He didn't feel the same way, so she did not want him knowing that she was in love with him whilst he was dating someone else. That would just ruin a friendship. She needed his friendship, even if she could not have his heart. It heart to watch him with someone else, but at least he was happy. That was all Annie had ever wanted for him was to be happy. It would just be her time to try and find happiness somewhere else. She didn't see it happening, but she had to put on a happy face for everyone else's sake, which is why she had ventured to the mall to meet Tristan. She was nearly where she was meant to be when he text her. She read it, shook her head and ignored it, hurrying to the fountain. Once there, she nodded a greeting and asked him a question: "So why are we shopping? I thought that was more a girl thing?" She wasn't complaining, she was merely curious. The only guy she knew how liked shopping with her was Isaac, but she had a feeling it was more being in her company than shopping.
she moved past him to sit on the edge of the fountain. She was staring at her shoes, thinking. At first it was about Isaac, but then she forced herself to concentrate on something else. Her thoughts wandered to the boots on her feet. She really loved those boots. She had gotten them in New York. That was the summer she had brought Isaac back the sweatshirt that he was always found in. Every time she saw it she smiled. Damn she cursed internally. She had gone back to Isaac again. He haunted so many of her memories. She couldn't help but think it'd be time to make some new ones. She looked back up at Tristan with a great effort she smiled. "So what am I shopping for exactly?" She had no idea what was on his mind. If she were a little less naive, she may have been able to come to come conclusions, but she had nothing. She looked away from him after a few moments and looked around the mall, taking in the faces of the people around her. She was kind of bored already and it was difficult to keep her thoughts from Isaac. She wished Brighton hadn't gone away. She missed him. He would know exactly what to do to cheer her up. Without him around, she felt left out and awfully alone, especially since Isaac had found Indiana.

WORD COUNT: SIX FORTY-FOUR - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Despite the reputation that the younger Degilio brother had Tristan knew what it was to be in love and he knew what it was to want someone so bad it hurt. Unlike Annie though he had the woman that he loved in his life, he had her love back. It had taken awhile to get to where they were now and their relationship was nowhere near perfect but they were working on it. It was mainly his fault that things weren't perfect anyway, he was the one who still did drugs and he was the one who still needed to figure out everything in his life. It was his fault that the two weren't already engaged or even married. He wanted more with her, he always had it was just that he didn't see it fair to her since whenever he got high he couldn't keep it in his pants and often slept with someone who wasn't Addie. He was trying now though and he was determined to fix things, to restore her complete trust in him and to get her to believe that he was going to do better for her, that he was going to be someone worthy of her love. It was one thing to love someone but it was another thing to change who you were to be worthy of them.
Tristan wasn't stupid and he knew that there was someone whom Annie was in love with and after much poking and prodding he had figured it out even if she hadn't said it straight out. Annie was in love with her best friend but from what she seemed to hint at the boy didn't return the feelings. It was a shame really but Tristan for some odd reason wanted to help her. he wanted to show Annie how to capture his attention. He wasn't quite sure why he wanted to help, maybe it was because he knew how much it could probably hurt to not have the person you love even acknowledge it. He wasn't quite sure what he would do if Addie didn't love him back. In his mind it was knowing that Addie loved him that had gotten him through everything. It may seem odd but it was true. He knew that she loved him and he knew that no matter what happened she'd always be there. It was until recently did he realize that he had been taking that for granted though. It wasn't going to happen again though. "Because for one, I'm in a good mood and I want to help you. For two you're in desperate need of a wardrobe change if you want to catch loverboy's eye.
" Tristan paused for a moment as he ran his fingers through his hair and focused his gaze on her. " Well, more like make it seem like you're trying to impress other guy's to get him jealous." Tristan wasn't going to take no for an answer and he wasn't going to put up with her lying to him either. He knew the truth and he was going to make sure that she knew that he knew. " And before you start playing dumb don't. I know you're in love with that Isaac guy and from what you've been saying you think he has a thing for someone else. Obviously you suck at reading signs." Tristan was positive that he was right about her friend liking her back but obviously the girl in front of him was going to need some convincing. " Come on, up you go. Follow me." He stated as he nudged her shoulder with his arm before walking down the walkway toward one of the stores he had in mind. " Well, let's go, Annie! We don't have all day." Tristan stated before moving into a store after making sure that Annie knew which one he was going into.[/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - notes: meh, sorry this sucks but i didn't want to move it too far ahead.
