basic run down: danneel and tristan grew up together. next door neighbors their entire life and best friends. she comes from a pretty rough background filled with drugs and disappointment. tristan was really her only rock through it all. the two of them got involved in drugs at a young age and were always known as the trouble makers at school. danneel and tristan are both drop-outs and they've been living together since they both left home. danneel however decided to clean up her act after an overdose and now she's trying to get tristan to kick the habit. she's really the only one who can get through to him and have him actually listen without blowing a gasket. they've dated on and off for years now but neither of them are ready for anything serious. tristan is unfaithful and danneel knows this. plus, she doesn't fancy dating someone whom is still jacked up on drugs and doesn't give a shit about his life.
basically she's going to help him. tristan is going through a lot right now. he feels worthless, he blames himself for his father leaving and he blames himself for his mother's constant stress levels. he doesn't see any point in living and he thinks that life is a complete joke. she's the one person who can change all of that, show him how the change that she made in her life by going back to school and getting off of drugs has helped her and how it can help him. it'll be a long road for him to get there but she's determined to stick by him through it all. eventually i'd love to see these two finally have a steady relationship and her get him out of his unfaithful and fuck-the-world state of mind. these two are best friends, they've had their up's and down's but they've always been there for each other through it all. her history and most of her personality is up to you, i just put some traits that i'd like her to have. also, her coming from a pretty rough background is something that is essential to who she is and how her and tristan really connected.

basic run down: james is the little brother to carter. like his brother he's extremely good at sports and right now is aiming to become a pro-basketball player. the two of them were always close growing up, always had each other's backs but they fought a lot. when james was eighteen he knocked up his girlfriend and now has a three year old son named lucas ( the name can be changed ). james and carter share a home together, carter's rich now so he pretty much pays for his brother to go to college and to take care of him and lucas. while carter was always the nicer of the two growing up, the one who was respectful to women ( until his break-up with abby ) james was the complete opposite. he's disrespectful, he's arrogant to the extreme and can be a real asshole at times. the only people he really cares about enough to actually maintain a decent relationship with is his older brother, carter and his son, lucas.
james is needed for carter's best friend. carter wants to help him reach his goal of becoming an NBA player and he also wants to help him with his son and with trying to become a better person but because carter's currently in the same state of mind that james is in that's going to take awhile. their history is pretty much the same: raised by an abusive mother and both left home as soon as they turned sixteen. carter's extremely protective of james and brings a whole new meaning to the phrase 'big brother' because in all honesty carter's been more like a father to james than a brother and surprisingly james is okay with that. his personality and his history is completely open to you but remember that they were both abused growing up and both had really bad issues with their mother so there's bitterness and resentment toward her. i'd also imagine that james has quite a bit of bitterness toward his ex for getting pregnant even though it takes two.

basic run down: jenna is a girl from alex's past. a girl that he screwed over big time. the two used to be really good friends, the two were extremely close to dating and alex had been close to being on that verge of falling in love with her but he pulled away, told her he didn't care about her and he left. alex was scared of pursuing a relationship because he was scared of being hurt but in the process of saving himself from that possible pain he hurt jenna more than she was ever willing to admit. they haven't seen each other since she moved to california with her family three or four years ago but they have kept in contact. she acts like everything is going great for her, that he didn't hurt her and that she's little miss sunshine but deep down she hates alex for what he did to her and now that she's coming back to new haven she's a bitch on a mission to break him down just like he broke her. jenna gave herself to alex in every sense of the word. physically: he was her first love and emotionally: she gave him her heart with no holding back. she thought he felt the same way but when he pulled away and refused to date her it broke her down. that was her real reason of moving to california to live with her grandparents, not the shitty excuse she gave him.
jenna has been hatching a plan in her mind to destroy alex, to hurt him worse than he had hurt her and she is determined to go through with it. she wants to make him suffer and she knows about his fear of being hurt by someone he cares about. jenna's goal is to make alex fall in love with her, to make him want to be with her so bad that it hurts him to be apart from her. she wants him to make himself vulnerable to her and she'll act the same toward him. once he thinks things are going great though, once he's ready to move forward in their relationship ( to let's say he actually proposes or something of that nature ) she's going to tear his heart out of his chest and rip it into a thousand little pieces just like he did to her. jenna is going to hurt alex like he's never been hurt before because in her mind it's time the player got played. her history is completely up to you as is everything else about her apart from the few traits i've listed above. i want her to hurt alex. i want her to make him fall for her hard then i want her to screw him over just like he did to her a few years back. eventually i'd like to see them work everything out but this is going to be one of those plots that you just go with and see what happens, yah?
