jake attended yale and that's where he met lucille. he was a junior, she was a freshman. jake is a sweet, charming guy, a good friend and very intelligent. he's obviously brave and patriotic, which drove him to the military. however, he has some deeper issues. he has an intense temper on him. he can become very verbally abusive when angered, which is quite easily. he also is paranoid about relationships, which results in him becoming controlling. it's not extreme but more along the lines of "where are you going? who with? why are they calling you?" etc.
so jake and lucy met in lucy's freshman year. she was interesting. from the very beginning they teased and taunted each other in a friendly way and they became friends. about six months into her freshman year, the two began to date. it was a happy relationship for the past part, at least for the first few months before they began to move from the honeymoon period. they had their first fight about four months into their relationship and some harsh words were spoken. it was no big deal. as the relationship progressed, his temper became known. he started taking it out on her more often. it became gradually worse, until about the year mark, where lucy broke up with him for it. his controlling nature revealed itself around the six month mark. he began to wonder who she was seeing, where she was going. it was more persistent and he began to pressure her into not hanging out with males, including her best friend kaden wilson and her other friend, brody o'connor. after they broke up, jake continued to chase her. he wanted her back. however, he gave up after two or so months and he graduated four months later, leaving her and joining the military, which branch is up to you.
now, it's two years later and jake was sent back to become a recruiting officer. fate has it that he was stationed in new haven. the plan is for him to run into lucy somewhere and the two start a somewhat awkward and guarded friendship. jake realises how much he missed lucy and he pursues her. she may give him another chance. she may not. we can talk that out together.
i know, this included a lot of background, but that's important to who he is and the relationship between lucy and jake. his name is non-negotiable, as it's already been used. play-by is negotiable, but he must be pretty manly looking, as that's the kind of guys lucy goes for. jake is not her final. i'm telling you that now. however, i'd be willing to plot with him with my other characters to make up for it. they could possibly be futures, but i'd have to talk that out with other people who i'm plotting with to find a time for it. anyway, please take him!
