It was Winter, the season that Felix Fraser hated the most, cold weather was not his favorite, everything seemed so still and lifeless, with fresh coat of snow that had laid itself during the night, the snow had been like a winter wonderland when he first woke, but now at noon, the snow had turned into mush all through campus, littered with new and old footprints. The trees looked like ice pops, each and every one of their branches were covered in ice and sprinkled with snow.
Lix woke by six for his morning work out, the day started with a glance out the window, "Awe fuck," he muttered to himself, knowing that getting ready had just become this much harder. He was from Texas, the place was 'lucky' if they got a trace of snow in a years time, in fact many of it's residence would never see snow fall from the sky that would actually stick to the ground without melting immediately after hitting.
He commanded himself to treat this day like any other, falling out of his bed, his knuckles touched the ground and his quick hundred push ups began, then switched to his two hundred crunches, it wasn't much of a work out, but at least it kept the beer belly in check. After the work out was complete, he stood up to stretch his hands over head, and jumped into the shower after shedding his clothing, he closed his eyes as the hot water pulsed on his skin, this was the only time of the day he truly felt a peace, like the outside world meant nothing.
After a ten minutes in the hot shower, he jumped out and was welcomed by the world once again, he shook his head, his wet hair throwing water drops everywhere. He used his forearm to whip off the mirror as he washed his face and brushed his teeth. With a towel firmly wrapped around his waist, he walked back into his room, where his cloths for the day were hung up. He quickly yanked clothes at random off the hangers and got dressed.
With a thick winter coat and a Tuque over head, he ran from class to class, getting the least amount of snow time as possible. by noon he had one remaining class to start at 2:15 and with no where else to be, his butt landed in one of the stools at the bar ordering half the menu it seemed like. As soon as his hot chocolate was laid in front of him, he began sipping it down.
FOUR THIRTY FOUR WILL GET BETTER, THREAD STARTER FAIL.

i am still here waiting TO SEE YOU AGAIN, BE WITH YOU MY FRIEND
DESPITE the freezing weather outside, Keely had been in it since early morning. She was used to snow and cold and if she were completely honest, she loved it. She loved snowball fights and the feel of snow falling in her hair. She loved stomping through snow in her boots and she loved the feel of it on her bare skin. She was winter girl, although she did love summer too. In fact, Keely just loved to live and the different experiences each season gave. She was cheesy in that respect, but that’s what made people love her so. She had such a good attitude towards everything. There was no way she could see that as a negative because it kept her so upbeat and ready to meet each challenge that life threw her way. That was probably why she was eagerly bouncing to and from each classes, revelling in the time she spent outside with the wind nipping at her. She was having a blast and it was obvious on the little blonde’s face as she moved from her last class to the cafe situated on campus. Even she needed a little pick-me-up occasionally and some warm tea seemed just the thing she needed. She did not drink coffee and was not in the mood for hot chocolate, so tea was perfect, topped with cream.
SHE was light on her feet as she skipped into the cafe and moved to the register to order. Kee being Kee struck up a conversation with the check out chick who seemed happy for the conversation, at least if the smile was anything to go by. She was happy to bring a smile to someone’s face. That was what the blonde did best. She lingered at the counter, chatting quietly until her tea had arrived. She grabbed it, smiling cheerily as it was handed to her, and she turned to find herself a seat so she could take a quick look at her port folio. She had an impressive collection of pictures, one that had been building since she was thirteen. She had given up a promising career in gymnastics to pursue photography, only because she was so passionate about it. It had been something she had pursued since; photography classes and courses since she was thirteen and now making it her major at Yale of all places. If one could not see her passion for it, then they never would be able to. She licked a bit of cream from the top of her tea as she looked for a friend to join. “Ah,” she said to herself as she spotted a familiar figure.
HEADING towards the bar, she tapped her masculine friend on the shoulder with that smile still on her face. “What’re you doing over here, Mister Anti-social?” she asked somewhat cheekily, but it was all in good nature. She was glad to see him and would happily take the time to catch up with him. “Y’know, a table would be more comfortable and we could talk.” She was teasing him now, tempting him to do as she pleased, although she would not be offended if he chose to stay where he was. That wasn’t the type of person Keely was at all. She respected the decisions of other people. It was opinions she would fight, especially pessimistic ones. She would never understand how people could be so pessimistic when the world was so beautiful. She could agree that things weren’t perfect, but nothing ever would be. However, if one wanted to be completely happy, they had to be thankful for what they did have and make the best out of every situation. Her father always said that to her and it was a message Keely carried close to her heart. It was the reason she went through life with a smile on her face and happy thoughts clouding her mind.
